Vireo Player End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is between you and TechGlobe LLC and covers the Vireo Player desktop application, including updates we provide for it (the “Software”). By installing or using the Software you agree to this EULA. If you don't agree, don't install it, and if you have paid, you can get a refund under our Refund Policy.

1. Trial

You may use the Software with all features for 14 days without a license key. After the trial, basic playback keeps working and advanced features require a license.

2. License grant

When you buy a license, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Vireo Player version 1.x on up to three (3) computers that you own or control, for your personal or internal business use. You can move the license between computers by deactivating it on one before activating it on another.

3. Updates

Your license includes all 1.x updates at no extra charge. A future major version (such as 2.0) may be offered as an optional paid upgrade. Version 1.x will continue to work if you choose not to upgrade.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

• Share, sell, rent or publish your license key.
• Remove or bypass the license check.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except where the law permits it despite this restriction.
• Use the Software to decrypt or circumvent copy protection on any content.

5. Open-source components

The Software includes open-source libraries, which are licensed under their own terms. A list of these components and their licenses is available in the app under Help → Acknowledgements. Nothing in this EULA limits your rights under those licenses.

6. Privacy

The Software doesn't collect information about the files you play. It contacts our servers to activate your license and, if you allow it, to check for updates. See our Privacy Policy.

7. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. TechGlobe LLC keeps all rights, title and interest in it.

8. Warranty and liability

We warrant that the Software will work substantially as described on our website for 14 days after purchase. Your remedy if it doesn't is a full refund. Otherwise the Software is provided “as is”, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

This license ends automatically if you break this EULA, or if your purchase is refunded or charged back. When it ends you must stop using the licensed features.

10. General

This EULA is governed by the laws of the State of Montana, USA. The export of the Software is subject to US export laws, and you confirm you are not in a sanctioned country or on a restricted-party list.
