How it works

Getting started

  1. 1

    Create spaces

Start with Engineering, People and Support, or import your existing wiki. Each space has its own owners and permissions.

  2. 2

    Write and assign owners

Draft pages in Markdown or with the block menu. Every page gets an owner and a review interval.

  3. 3

    Review pages on schedule

Owners are reminded when a review is due, and readers see whether a page has been verified recently.

01

Editor

Write in Markdown or use the block menu. Paste a table from a spreadsheet and it stays a table. Paste a screenshot and it uploads.

  • Markdown shortcuts and a / command menu
  • Tables, callouts, code blocks with syntax highlighting
  • Embeds for diagrams, videos and design files
  • Comments and @mentions on any block

02

Page owners and review dates

Each page has an owner and a review interval. When the date passes, the owner is reminded and readers see that the page is due for review.

  • Review intervals from 30 days to 1 year
  • Weekly digest of pages that need attention
  • Clear verified and needs-review labels
  • Stale page report for workspace admins

03

Permissions

Give everyone access to the handbook while keeping HR and finance spaces private. Permissions inherit down the page tree and can be overridden per page.

  • Spaces, groups and page-level permissions
  • Guest access for contractors
  • SSO with Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Audit log of views, edits and permission changes

FAQ

Common questions.

Something else? See the Kitebase help guide or email support@techglobellc.com.

Do read-only users count toward the bill?

Yes, every member of the workspace is billed. Guests invited to a single space are free up to 10 per workspace.

Can I import from another wiki?

Kitebase imports Markdown folders, HTML exports, Word files and Confluence space exports. Links between imported pages are rewritten automatically.

Is there a minimum number of seats?

No. You can start with one user. Seats are added or removed at any time and billed prorated.

Can I make a page public?

Yes. Any page can have a public share link, which you can turn off at any time. Workspace admins can disable public links entirely.
